Abstract:An inclusion complex was prepared via synthesis of β-CD and neutral red envelope and the reaction of this complex with nitrite in hydrochloric acid was investigated. The results showed that, in hydrochloric acid, the inclusion complex can directly react with nitrite. The detection limit and relative standard deviation were within the rage of 0~120 μg/L, the NO2- content showed a linear relation with the fluorescence quenching spectrum. Common coexisting ions did not interfere with its determination. The proposed method can be used for water samples in the determination of nitrite with satisfactory results.
