Abstract:The production of ethanol by sugarcane juice fermentation had great meaning to the development of our economy due to the rising oil price and lower sugar price. In this paper, a high ethanol-producing strain was screened from several yeasts. Two yeast (gw2 and sy ) were found to be suitable for the ethonal production via sugarcane juice fermentation for their higher ethanol-producing capabilities and lower mortality rate.
