Abstract:Fermentation conditions for xylitol production by Fusarium xysporum were optimized. The results showed that the optimal temperature, pH, liquid volume, inoculum size, shaking speed and methanol content in 10 g/L xylose-containing medium were 28~30 ℃, 5.0~6.0, 50%, 10%, 160 r/min and 1%, respectively, under which the conversion rate of xylose was 3.81%. This research provided a novel route for xylitol production by Fusarium xysporum.
