Abstract:
The determination of malathion residue in rice by capillary column gas chromatography was studied. The linearity is satisfactory with a correlation coefficient of 0.998 at concentrations ranging from 0.01 g/mL to1.00 g/mL. The detection limit and average recovery of malathion were 0.004 mg/kg and 97.2%, respectively. This method was fast, simple and accurate, which could be applied for determination of malathion content in rice.
