Abstract:This paper reviewed the development of detection and identification of Bifidobacteria, especially the application of molecule biology techniques in this field such as direct identification using specific former or probe, molecule marker technique, PCR techniques, and so on. Also the advantage and disadvantage of each technique and their application prospects were discussed and compared.
