Abstract:Pomelo (Citrus grandis (L.) Osbeck) is a subtropical fruit with unique flavor and high nutritional value. As the origin of pomelo, China has a long history of pomelo cultivation and is rich in variety resources. A large number of studies show that pomelo is rich in functional active substances such as polysaccharides, coumarins, flavonoids and terpenes, and has the functional characteristics of antioxidation, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, lipid-lowering, hypoglycemic and antibacterial, and has broad application prospects in food, health care products and pharmaceutical industries. In recent years, people pay more and more attention to the bioactive components and functional characteristics of pomelo. However, there is a lack of systematic research on the bioactive components and functional characteristics of pomelo, which limits the processing and utilization of pomelo. Therefore, this paper summarizes the research progress of main bioactive components and functional characteristics of pomelo in recent years, and discusses in detail the research direction of functional active substances development in the future, in order to provide reference for further research, development and utilization of pomelo.
