Abstract:To understand the functional quality of yellow (Passi?ora edulis f. flavicarpa) passion fruit from different habitats, and provide reference for the development and industrial application of passion fruit health products. The yellow passion fruits from five cultivation habitats in Guizhou were selected as the research objects to analyze the main functional components and antioxidant capacity of the juice. The results showed that the contents of Vc, total flavonoids, total polyphenols, total polysaccharide, and total anthocyanin ranged from 74.85 to 192.79 mg VcE/100g, 16.06 to 51.85 mg RE/100g, 61.32 to 86.92 mg GAE/100g, 68.69 to 144.80 mg GE/g, and 0.12 to 1.23 mg CyGE/100g, and the scavenging rates of DPPH, ABTS and hydroxyl free radicals were ranged from 89.01 to 97.03%, 89.14 to 95.59%, and 96.30 to 99.31%, respectively. The contents of main functional components of passion fruit juice from different habitats showed significant differences, which were affected by the regional climate, average temperature, annual rainfall and annual sunshine. The contents of Vc and polysaccharide and the antioxidant activity of passion fruit juice from different habitats were all high, and the scavenging effects on DPPH radical and hydroxyl radical were similar. The correlation analysis showed that Vc, anthocyanin, flavonoids and polyphenols in the juice of passion fruit could mainly strengthen the scavenging of DPPH and hydroxyl free radical, and polysaccharide could enhance ABTS free radical scavenging. Comprehensive analysis: compared to the passion fruit produced in southern Guizhou, the content of active components in southeast Guizhou is higher and antioxidant ability is stronger. It is a good material for developing functional food and health food.
